Quaran(Tiny) Guide to: Election 2020
Welcome to the seventh edition of Quaran(Tiny) Guides, which we are are launching exactly one week from the 2020 U.S. Election.
In the early 1900s, suffragists penned cookbooks to gather support for their cause as they fought for the right to vote. We have taken inspiration from that chapter of culinary/political history, and made a zine for the 2020 election season. These recipes are intended for election night (or any night before or after that you need a little comfort and solace). Heads up if you are printing these with children: we did drop a couple swear words.
If you haven’t made a voting plan, now is a great time! Maybe you want to consider volunteering in this last week too? Vote Save America has lots of great resources.
We have the zine available in two formats:
To print the zine at home and fold it together, download here. All you need is 8.5x11” piece of paper and a printer. Never made a one-page zine before? Here’s a video that breaks down the process, and there’s a visual guide here.
If you would like to download the zine to access on your computer or phone, download this one.
Quaran(Tiny) Guides are small, simple collections of recipes and how-to that we think are worth sharing. The intention is not to be an extensive resource, but instead to offer up simple tips in a straightforward format, that hopefully inspires a little creativity in the kitchen. Check out all the editions here.
